除了反常極端天氣之外，
1 月 3 日，美國阿拉斯加州阿留申群島（Aleutian Islands）上，
一座希沙爾丁火山（Shishaldin Volcano）爆發，
灰燼直衝高空逾 2 萬英尺，形成火山灰雲，
隨後，火山灰雲往東南方海面飄移。
美國國家氣象局發佈火山灰雲警戒，

Taal is among two dozen active volcanoes
in the Philippines alone, and one of many
in the Pacific Ring of Fire,
but Taal has some distinctive characteristics.
是菲律賓 24 個活火山之一，
也是太平洋火環許多活火山之一，
但塔阿爾火山有其特別之處。
Almost like a Russian doll, we have a volcanic island,
which is just the tip of a volcano.
像俄羅斯娃娃一樣，它是一個火山島，並且只是一個火山頂。
Sitting within a huge lake about 25 by 30 kilometers,
and that lake itself is within a much bigger volcano,
what we call a caldera.
座落於 25 乘 30 公里的巨型湖泊之中，
而湖泊本身也是位於更巨型的火山之中，
我們稱之為巨火山口。
There are no reports of deaths or injuries,
but breathing in volcanic ash is dangerous,
so evacuees wear masks and goggles for safety.

當地官員擔心，持續噴發的蒸汽和火山灰，
或會重演 1754 年的災難，並持續數月，

單單 2020 年 1 月，全球大自然災難，
已不斷刷新過往十年的紀錄，
為整個《啟示錄》級數的災難揭開序幕。
